If you are not a financial expert and just want to find an easy way to calculate the payments for a given loan, look no more. You’ve just found the most appropriate tool: MoneyToys Free Loan Calculator. As its name indicates, it’s a free application available to be downloaded from the Wheatworks web site.
This extremely easy-to-use application consists in just one main window where you will find the necessary fields to input the loan information. These fields are: Amount Borrowed, to enter the initial amount of money; Payment Frequency, a drop down list to select a predefined payment frequency, such as Monthly 12, weekly, and else; Number of Payments; Annual Interest Rate in percentage. With that information, Free Loan Calculator provides: Payment Amount, Total Interest Paid, and Total Amount Paid.
Given its simplicity, the application lacks in some more advanced features. For example, you cannot use this tool to calculate the payments for a loan which uses a variable interest rate. You could calculate an estimate in stages though. |
